Stephen Lent is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lent Enterprises, Inc. Renowned and respected in Hawaii’s business community, Lent worked with Pacific Business News (PBN) for 27 years serving as president and publisher before establishing Waikiki News in 1996. He also warked as publisher of PBN’s professional journals group, which included the Hawaii Bar Association, Hawaii Medical Association, Honolulu Chapter of AIA, Hawaii Dental Association, Hawaii Association of Realtors and Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Lent served as President of four prestigious industry organizations in Hawaii, including the Hawaii Publishers Association, the Honolulu Advertising Federation, the Sales & Marketing Executives of Honolulu and the Honolulu Executives Association. He was selected media person of the year for 1991 by Advertising Agency Association of Hawaii. He has been a board member of the Honolulu Boy Choir since 1993. Before residing in Hawaii, he was employed by the Los Angeles Times, the New York Herald-Tribune, and the San Francisco Examiner.
Alan Pollock’s life has been a marketing adventure. Founder of Loomis & Pollock Inc., the 5th largest full service advertising agency in Hawaii at the time with accounts in tourism, hospitality, banking, retail, manufacturing, insurance, automotive, construction, food services, petroleum and politics. The agency even got several mayors and a congressman elected! Alan sold the agency seventeen years later and went to the client side working for ITOEN (USA), Japan’s second largest beverage. Most recently he was vice president of marketing for Time Warner. His passion is branding, launching new products and growing businesses but his focus is and will always be about the person who makes the final decision in the business process, the customer.
Alice Inoue is the founder and Chief Happiness Officer of Happiness University. She is an expert life guide, and author of five nationally award-winning books on life wisdom, self-growth and happiness. She has two columns, one in MidWeek titled “A Mindful Moment,” and an award-winning column in the Sunday Star-Advertiser called “Go Ask Alice” that offers pertinent life guidance. Through Happiness U, she helps both companies and individuals develop positive mindsets in order to live more inspired in both their professional and private lives.
